Frequently asked questions

What happens during an acupuncture session?

If it is your first session, a detailed consultation will be performed before any treatment begins. A session typically lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. For your comfort during your session, you should wear loose clothing. Depending on the treatment you are receiving, I may use acupuncture needles - the needles are very fine, and you may experience only a tingling or dull ache. This is perfectly normal for this kind of treatment. The needles might then be left in place for a period of time depending on the effect required.

What if I miss my appointment?

If you are late for your appointment, it is possible that you may lose time from your treatment and be charged the full amount. Should you need to cancel/change an appointment, 24 hours' notice is required, otherwise, a cancellation fee of 50% of your treatment may incur. You will receive a text reminder confirming the date and time of your appointments.

Can I claim back from my health insurance?

Yes, depending on the cover of your insurance policy. Please check with your health care provider whether you have cover on your policy.

How will I feel after my treatment?

Depending on your treatment, you may feel anything from relaxed to energised.

How many sessions will I need?

My priority is to have you feeling pain-free in the quickest amount of time possible. I cannot guarantee up-front that you will feel better after a specified amount of treatments.

How much does a session cost?

Prices range from €50 to €120 per session depending on what treatment plan you may need.
